CSU Cabadbaran Campus Tops 7th National Science Quest |

Caraga State University (CSU) Cabadbaran Campus garnered the FIRST PLACE in the recently concluded 7th National Science Quest, specifically in the area of Science Investigatory Project (SIP) Life Science Secondary Teachers Team Category in Tabaco City, Albay last February 3-5, 2010.
The winning entry was the study on the “Assessment of the Physico-Chemico and Bacteriological Characteristics of Cabangasan Creek of Cabadbaran City” by Mrs. Flordeliza G. Alburo, Joy Lyn D. dela Cruz, and Lady Diana D. Garbo, with their adviser, Dr. Miraluna L. Herrera. Other entries to the 7th national Science Quest included, “More Energy, More Happy” a Science Intervention Material (SIM), 7th Placer, by Mr. Ariel Lagura with Dr. Miraluna L. Herrera as adviser; and the “Sensitivity and Toxicity Tests of Dischidia Platyphylla” SIP Secondary Student Category by Reyvah P. Genardino (4th year student) with Lady Diana D. Garbo as adviser and Dr. Miraluna L. Herrera as co-adviser.
 CSU expressed sincerest thanks to the PTA of CSU- Lab High School; to the Local Government of the City of Cabadbaran especially to Mayor Dale C. Corvera; Office of Congressman Edelmiro A. Amante and his daughter Angel M. Amante-Matba; and the office of the Province of Agusan del Norte through Gov. Erlpe John M. Amante for all their support primarily for the advancement of science and technology not only in the province but also in the region. |
